To cut or not to cut?

I like it short because it's cute, less tangly, and looks fuller and healthier.  But she still has her baby cheeks and I feel like the short hair makes her face look really, really wide.

I like it long because it's easy to pull back into a pony tail or pig tails.  I don't really know how to do girls hair dos in other ways, though.  Also, Sadie hates to have hair ties in her hair - she says it hurts and often times will pull them out.

Why is this such a hard decision?

Sadie is too cute! I can see why it is a hard choice to keep it long or cut it short. The length of her hair does give her a different look, but either one is adorable. The good thing is hair grows back. It might be nice to have a cute, summer hair cut. I'm actually considering the same thing with my own hair. This heat is making it miserable to have long, thick hair hanging on my neck.

I just love short haircuts on little girls. Beyond that though, I keep Natalie's hair short because she doesn't like to have it done. I figure it's one power struggle that is easy to avoid. It sounds like Sadie may be similar in that. She is such a cute girl with her hair at any length. You can't go wrong.

I think we should get a "Back-to-School" hair cut, or in this case "going-to-school-for-the-first-time" hair cut. I think it will help her feel special and cute for her friends at school, and ease the transition period. Just my thoughts...

Sadie's cuteness will outshine any haircut you give her. Or not give her. I don't think her face looks wide at all with the short hair. Although I am partial to long hair, I think the shorter route might be better for Sadie because of her tendency to pull out the hair-ties. And I really like Ben's idea to have a "going to school for the first time" hair cut.
